How to tell the time ....( the fifth graders )
students, we're sometimes confused how to tell time correctly,... it's because we have learn many ways to say it. As I know from my previous study, e.g. = 1:10. how should we tell that time? we can mention it both " it is one ten " and " it is ten past one".
but let me suggest you to use the first only to your friends or your family. In the other hand it will be better if you use the second way to your senior or your teachers.
What time is it?
If you need to know exact time in progress, please use " What time is it?" or What time do you usually go to school? What time and What time,....................and the answer is about the time. don't even be wrong with the question word " When". The question word "when" is not used to asked ask the time, but the day, the month, and the year.

How far I master English?
To reply the question above, we can remind ourselves by mentioning some nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs...
I. Nouns are categorized within things, people around us such as a table, a chair, a ruler, a sharpener. Furthermore, you can also mention things in your living room: a set of sofa, a television, a fan, a picture etc. you can also mention things in the kitchen, in your bedroom even your bathroom. Things that we see on the way you go are categorized as nouns, too.
People, profession, fruits, food and drinks are nouns, too. All the things that we can touch are nouns.
In other hand, we can mention some things that we can't touch but categorized as nouns, such as weakness, loneliness, government, crime, etc..
II. Verbs are activities we do. For examples: to wake up, take a bath, have breakfast, go to school, to play, to study, to sleep, to dream, to sit, to walk, to work, to read, to write, to send etc...
III. Adjectives are words that describes a noun or pronoun. a big dog, quick, obvious, boring, purple, fat, thin, long, old, smart, lazy, diligent, etc,..
